Modern footballers are often criticised for being overpaid and out of touch, but Reading winger Royston Drenthe has done his bit to change that image.
The former Real Madrid and Everton man, 27, invited a group of lucky Royals fans round to his house for a special FIFA 14 tournament.
The Dutchman invited his Instagram followers to get in contact with him and play each other for the chance to win a special prize.
He was inundated with responses, eventually picking six fans to play against each other on Sunday afternoon.
Drenthe, who scored twice in 16 appearances for Nigel Adkins' team last season, posted a series of pictures and videos throughout the day as the tournament was eventually won by Daniel Demiri.
Reading start their Championship campaign away at Wigan on Saturday.
