Wadsworth shown the exit by Hartlepool
Hartlepool United have sacked their manager, Mick Wadsworth, following a run of seven successive home defeats.
Wadsworth, 61, led Pools on a nine-match unbeaten run from the start of the season, but they have won only two of their last 10 league encounters. The first-team coach, Micky Barron, will take charge of the side at Brentford on Saturday.
A club statement yesterday read: "It is with regret that Hartlepool United have relieved Mick Wadsworth of his duties as head coach with immediate effect.
"We would like to wish Mick all the very best for his future career and thank him for his efforts since joining the club in July 2010."
