Campbell makes Fifa's 'All-Star' team
Rio Ferdinand, to many eyes England's best player in the World Cup, has not been named in Fifa's All-Star team that was announced yesterday. There is one England name, however, his central defensive colleague Sol Campbell.
Brazil's three Rs, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Rivaldo, plus Roberto Carlos, have been named in the team, along with three Germans and Turks.
FIFA'S ALL-STAR 2002 WORLD CUP TEAM: Goalkeepers: Kahn (Germany), Recber (Turkey). Defenders: Roberto Carlos (Brazil), Campbell (England), Hierro (Spain), Hong Myung-Bo (South Korea), Alpay (Turkey). Midfielders: Ballack (Germany), Reyna (United States), Rivaldo (Brazil), Ronaldinho (Brazil), Yoo Sang-Chul (South Korea). Forwards: Ronaldo (Brazil), El Hadji Diouf (Senegal), Hasan Sas (Turkey), Klose (Germany).
