Juventus 2-5 Man City: Pep Guardiola’s side thrash The Old Lady to top Group H
Manchester City have put the rest of the Club World Cup on notice as they thrashed Italian giants Juventus 5-2 to top their group and potentially avoid Real Madrid in the next round.
City started as they meant to continue and took the lead through a smart Jeremy Doku finish, made by the vision of Rayan Ait-Nouri. However, an Ederson blunder gave Juventus a reprieve, gifting Teun Koopmeiners an equaliser within just two minutes of taking the lead.

Pep Guardiola's promptly regained control and soon the lead through a horror own goal from Pierre Kalulu, before substitute Erling Haaland made it three after the break.
Goals from Phil Foden and Savinho - a thunderous strike - took the game out of sight for The Old Lady, even if Dusan Vlahovic fired in a consolation late on, with City sealing a statement win to top Group H and end the group stage as the only team to have won all three games.

Next up for Man City
So where does this leave us?
Well, barring a shock result for RB Salzburg against Real Madrid, it looks like Man City have found themselves on the easier side of the draw, avoiding the Galacticos.
At the moment, their biggest obstacles between them and the Club World Cup final in New York are Inter Milan, who they could face in the quarters, and fellow Premier League challengers Chelsea, who they could meet in the semis.
Juventus, meanwhile, are on the side of the bracket with PSG, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and, likely, Real Madrid.
Both sides will be in round of 16 action on July 1. We’ll see you then!

Juventus boss Igor Tudor not a happy man
"They were better,” he said in a grumpy post-match interview. “Better team. They controlled. It was difficult to play. Then we wanted to change a little bit to the team. It was not easy to make pressing this way.
"They were much better. We need to be complete as a team. We need to conditioned better to make our pressing."

Elsewhere in Group H
It might’ve been a bit of a dead rubber in the context of the competition, but Al Ain have made history of their own as they became the first Asian team to win a game in the reinvented Club World Cup.
They came from behind to beat Wydad AC and finish third in Group H - a positive way to bid farewell to the tournament.
Report: Erling Haaland hits 300th career goal as Man City make statement in Juventus thrashing
Erling Haaland scored his 300th career goal as Manchester City thrashed Juventus 5-2 to finish top of Group G at the Club World Cup.
Jeremy Doku, Phil Foden and Savinho – with a long-range stunner – were also on target as City produced an outstanding display despite both sweltering heat and a torrential downpour in Orlando on Thursday.
City were pegged back after Doku’s early opener when Ederson gifted a goal to Teun Koopmeiners but their lead was restored when Pierre Kalulu turned into his own net at the Camping World Stadium.
Haaland, reaching a notable landmark in senior football for club and country, came off the bench to bundle in the third and Foden and Savinho made victory certain before Dusan Vlahovic’s consolation.

Bernardo Silva: 'It's kill or be killed'
“We’re happy to have qualified for the last 16 and we’re in this tournament to win so we’re one step closer to our goal,” said Silva.
“Now it’s kill or be killed and we have to be ready for this next stage of games and we have to prepare well.”

Man City end torrid run against Old Lady
You wouldn’t have thought it watching that performance, but Manchester City hadn’t beaten Juventus in 47 years before today’s win!
They’ll be happy to draw a line under such a winless streak.

Juventus 2-5 Man City
90+2 mins: CHANCE! It should be six!
Haaland slots Cherki through who looks certain to score, but he overthinks it and can’t get the right finish away, with Di Gregorio getting down well to save.
That would’ve been the cherry on top of the cherry on top.
