That's good from Gabriel Martinelli - running down a blind alley of sorts he wisely plays the ball against Simon Francis to win a corner.

Nearly! A flowing counter attack from Bournemouth with a raking 60-yard pass from Ryan Fraser freeing Diego Rico, and Arnaut Danjuma's cut back is into the path of Joshua King.
But Matteo Guendouzi does magnificently to get ahead of the Bournemouth striker and prevent King getting an effort on goal.

The resultant corner is headed over the top by Steve Cook! Another fine changes goes a-begging.
FIVE minutes of additional time to be played.

Lucas Torreira collapses in a heap and thumps the turf as if he is in serious pain after Philip Billing just catches him on the foot. It's not a yellow card, and Torreira betrays his play-acting by jumping rather quickly back up to his feet after Martin Atkinson does not caution the Bournemouth man. Arsenal beginning to close this one out.

Off the post!
Callum Chambers wins the ball high up the pitch and rolls a nice pass to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who stabs against the woodwork!

Is that the last chance for Bournemouth? Callum Wilson fires goalwards from 25 yards but fails to generate the requisite power to beat Bernd Leno, who drops to his knees to collect.
Without descending too far into cliche, but that was a real game of two halves. Arsenal were utterly dominant before half-time, controlling the game with midfield ascendancy and preventing Bournemouth getting out with a well organised press, and David Luiz's early header gave them a deserved lead.
Bournemouth came out of the interval with greater purpose and intensity, though, and will rue a string of missed second-half chances as they came close to an equaliser on several occasions. Callum Wilson particularly may wonder why he opted to square the ball from a tight angle with goal agape after rounding Bernd Leno.
A win, then, for Arsenal, scratchy by nature but three points nonetheless, and up to third in the Premier League table.
