Bolton's dismal season, on and off the pitch, was finally condemned to relegation with defeat against Aston Villa, while Rotherham's survival hopes took another dent with a dramatic 4-3 loss to Swansea.
Sheffield United ensured Norwich cannot secure promotion to the Premier League this evening with a 1-0 win against Nottingham Forest.
Meanwhile, there were wins for West Brom and Blackburn, while the shares were spoiled elsewhere on a free-scoring day in the Championship.
