Burnley head to Selhurt Park to face Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon, with both teams hoping to get back to winning ways.

The Clarets have failed to win any of the last three after picking up successive wins prior to that, leaving them in 17th place in the Premier League table - though their situation is not as dire as it might be in that position in previous seasons, given the eight-point gap down to Fulham inside the bottom three.

Palace also won back-to-back games recently, but suffered a 2-0 reversal in their last league outing against Leeds to leave them in 13th place in the table.

Roy Hodgson’s men have looked decent at times, attack-minded and fast-flowing with some of their football compared to previous seasons, though consistency has been a real issue and their defensive record hasn’t been exemplary.

Burnley’s real issue is at the other end of the pitch, with a paltry haul of just 14 goals for the campaign being the lowest in the entire league.

TEAM NEWS - CHANGES

Leicester make four changes to the starting XI that faced Wolves last time out in the Premier League. Jamie Vardy returns to lead the line in place of Kelechi Iheanacho with Marc Albrighton and Wilfred Ndidi slotting back into the midfield. At the back Daniel Amartey replaces the injured James Justin.

Just the two changes for Liverpool. Centre-back Ozan Kabak makes his Premier League debut and James Milner starts in midfield, both come into the team replacing the injured Fabinho and Thiago Alcantara respectively.

RECENT FORM

Leicester have two wins in three games across all competitions after their 1-0 victory over Brighton in the FA Cup last time out. In the Premier League they defeated Fulham 0-2 before a goalless draw with Wolves. Those results have put them third in the table, three points ahead of their opponents.

Liverpool had a convincing 1-3 over West Ham on 31st January but have lost back-to-back matches at Anfield, to Brighton and Man City, in February. The last game was a 1-4 mauling and Jurgen Klopp will be hoping his side can turn around this form. If they defeat Leicester at the King Power Stadium today they will move above the Foxes in the table.

EARLY TEAM NEWS

James Justin is out and expected to miss the rest of the season due to a knee injury picked up against Brighton in Leicester’s FA Cup win. Timothy Castagne, Dennis Praet and Wesley Fofana all miss the game as well.

Fabinho has a muscle injury and is out for Liverpool with new signings Ben Davies and Ozan Kabak both available to start. Will one of them partner Jordan Henderson in central defence?

Leicester are not the sort of opponents Liverpool will be wanting to face amid the Reds’ troubling run of results, and the news of Fabinho’s injury will not improve confidence among the champions’ fans. Leicester have slipped up a few times this season when they’ve had the chance to narrow the gap to the top, however, and must put an end to that pattern here. Leicester 1-1 Liverpool.
