Jurgen Klopp not concerned despite Liverpool missing out on 100-point record

Liverpool have lifted the Premier League trophy on the Kop in a unique presentation after victory over Chelsea.

Captain Jordan Henderson picked up the trophy, as he did a year ago following Champions League glory, as Jurgen Klopp’s side continue to acquire silverware.

The Reds cruised to a 5-3 victory over the Blues at Anfield to extend their unbeaten record at home to 59 consecutive matches.

They were then able to enjoy a special ceremony with fireworks and a light show illuminating Anfield.

The stunning display started the party after Liverpool secured their first league title in 30 years.

Graeme Souness insisted this could be just the beginning of a highly successful period for the club.

The former player and manager told Sky Sports: ”Liverpool are back to where they were 30/40 years ago, they’ll be challenging for this and the Champions League for the next decade.”

Van Dijk insists there can be no complaints from rivals about Liverpool’s success.

“No one can say anything about our season, everyone can have their opinion about substitutes and water breaks but we won it by a mile,” Van Dijk said.

“It spurred us on, we had that feeling we were going to get it next year.

“It’s a dream come true for all of us, it’s a fantastic feeling to say I’m a Premier League champion.”
