2014 World Cup: Fifa worried by Brazil progress
Jérôme Valcke, Fifa's secretary general has serious concerns about Brazil's lack of progress in completing the infrastructure to prepare for an influx of fans at the World Cup, believing the country is more concerned about winning the 2014 tournament.
Ahead of a visit next week, Valcke said "things are not working in Brazil ... a lot of things [are] late."
He questioned why there is not "more support ... more enthusiasm" from the authorities to complete the stadiums, hotels and transport networks. Valcke believes Brazil's priority "is to win the World Cup. I'm not sure it's about organising the World Cup."
