Internazionale midfielder Wesley Sneijder has left the door open for a possible move away from San Siro this summer, despite pledging his commitment to the club last week.

The Netherlands international told La Gazzetta dello Sport yesterday that his future was not yet set in stone: "Only God will decide where my future lies. I can be certain of one thing: if I remain at Inter, then I will give my all to win everything again. "

Sneijder is a reported target of Chelsea and both Manchester clubs.

Old Firm new year game under threat

The Scottish Premier League could be forced to scrap the new year Old Firm derby next season. The SPL fixtures will be released on Friday and the traditional meeting between Rangers and Celtic may be played midweek in December instead to reduce trouble surrounding the fixture.

"We've been working with the police and government and their view is a midweek Old Firm derby is easier for them to deal with compared to the challenges presented by bank holidays, such as 2 January," League secretary Iain Blair said.

Vidic rejects talk of move to Juventus

Nemanja Vidic's agent has dismissed talk of the Manchester United captain leaving Old Trafford.

The Serbia defender, 29, was rumoured to be moving, possibly to Juventus, despite having three years on his contract. But agent Silvano Martina told Radio Sportiva: "He's a player that everyone wants.

"I talked to him about a hypothetical transfer and he replied, 'Why should I go to Italy , when Italian football is going through a turbulent period?' He stays where he is."
