Gareth Bale puts five-bedroom Essex mansion up for sale at £2.2m following £86m switch from Tottenham to Real Madrid
The Cardiff-born Wales international moved to the Spanish capital earlier this year after his sale to the Spanish club for a world-record fee
After his relocation to sunny Spain Gareth Bale has decided to put his former £2.2m home in Essex up for sale.
The 24-year-old Real Madrid star had previously lived in the detached luxury house in Clarence Gate, Woodford Green with his girlfriend Emma Rhys-Jones and their daughter Alba Violet.
The Cardiff-born Wales international moved to the Spanish capital earlier this year after his sale to the Spanish club for a record-breaking £86m.
According to an advert on the Right Move website the house is a "luxury modern home which must be seen to be fully appreciated".
The estate agents also say that planning permission has been granted for a loft conversion in case the owner wishes to add extra bedrooms.
The house also has a 150-foot garden, a security alarm system and its own triple garage.
The house also has ensuite facilities, a fitted wardrobe and second bedrooms. Bale's current home in Madrid was formerly owned by Brazil football icon Kaka.
