Eden Hazard and Nemanja Matic have not been named in the starting line-up for Chelsea's Champions League Group G encounter with FC Porto and will start the night on the bench.

John Obi Mikel and Ramires replace the pair after Saturday's 2-2 draw with Newcastle United. John Terry, who has not started in league or European competition since the defeat to Everton earlier this month, is also named on the bench.

Manager Jose Mourinho had threatened to make changes but the decision to leave out Hazard, last year's PFA Player of the Year, will raise eyebrows. Diego Costa returns to the side as his domestic ban does not extend to European competition.

Porto start Iker Casillas, who infamouskly endured an unhappy time under Mourinho's management at Real Madrid. Casillas makes an all-time record 152nd Champions League appearance tonight, overtaking Xavi.

Ex-Southampton striker Dani Osvaldo is a substitute for the Portuguese side.

Porto: Casillas, Maxi, Maicon, Marcano, Martins Indi, Danilo, Rúben Neves, Imbula, Brahimi, Aboubakar, André

Subs: Helton, Layun, Evandro, Corona, Tello, Bueno, Osvaldo

Chelsea: Begovic, Ivanovic, Zouma, Cahill, Azpilicueta, Mikel, Fabregas, Ramires, Willian, Pedro, Costa

Subs: Blackman, Baba Rahman, Terry, Matic, Loftus-Cheek, Hazard, Kenedy
