Alexis Sanchez is looking forward to the challenge of playing for Arsenal and believes he can win the Premier League with the north London club.

In his first full interview on arsenal.com, the Chilean World Cup star, signed for £35m on Thursday night, said he wants to "win everything possible" with the Gunners.

Arsenal have not won the Premier League since 2004, and ended a nine-year wait for a trophy last season by winning the FA Cup.

But Sanchez, who scored 21 goals for Barcelona last term, believes he can be the man to change Arsenal's recent fortunes.

He also admits that moving to the physically demanded Premier League could be the "most challenging" move of his career.

"I feel that playing in England will be perhaps the most challenging step Ive ever taken in my football career," the 25-year-old said. "There are plenty of competitive teams in the league and I will do my best sincerely to win as much as possible."

During the World Cup Chile won plenty of plaudits for their hard work - it is something he will bring to the Gunners next season.

Sanchez, who will wear the No 17 shirt for Arsenal, added: "A footballer should always work hard for his team in order to win everything, so it is an important quality for everyone.

"I feel I am always representing my country. That's why I tried to do my best for every club I played for. Since childhood I have always said that I wanted to win everything, wherever I went, and that is the reason why I am here now."

Sanchez also had one final message for the Arsenal fans: "Ultimately I have come to Arsenal to win everything possible thing with the help of my team-mates. I look forward to making the fans very happy."
