Arsenal Fan TV: Police escort presenter Robbie Lyle from Goodison Park amid supporter protests
Arsenal Fan TV and its regular cast of interviewees have been criticised by many other Gunners supporters for their inflammatory post-match reactions
Arsenal Fan TV presenter Robbie Lyle had to be escorted from Goodison Park by police on Saturday as fellow supporters turned on the controversial YouTube show and its founder.
Arsenal fans at the game against Everton, which finished 0-0, were heard singing regularly refrains of “Arsenal Fan TV, get out of our club”, and those chants continued outside the ground in the direction of Lyle.
Video showed Lyle being confronted by some supporters before being led safely to the exits by police.
Arsenal Fan TV and its regular cast of interviewees have been criticised by many other Gunners supporters for their inflammatory post-match reactions, which often descend into furious rants, and their perceived contribution to a divisive atmosphere around the Emirates.
The club continue to struggle to meet fan expectations on and off the pitch. Manager Unai Emery was sacked with the club languishing in mid-table and new head coach Mikel Arteta was in the stands at Goodison to watch another underwhelming performance under caretaker Freddie Ljungberg.
