It's a big game for… Joe Gomez: Brendan Rodgers has shown huge faith in the 18-year-old left-back by fielding him for every minute so far in what is his debut Premier League season.
The summer-signing looked at home against both Stoke and Bournemouth, but Arsenal offer a different level of attacking threat and are likely to look upon the former Charlton man as a potential weak-link in Liverpool’s back line. How he performs against the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Özil will have a big impact on the outcome of this match.

Remember when… This fixture may be the Premier League’s most prolific for seeing players score three times in a match, but former Arsenal man Andrey Arshavin went one better in 2009 by scoring all of Arsenal’s goals in a 4-4 draw.
Player to watch… Mesut Özil: Liverpool have started with consecutive clean sheets, and look to be far more solid defensively than in previous seasons. Arsenal’s German playmaker is their most likely source of chances, and someone the hosts will be relying on to display his fine eye for a pass once more as he did against Crystal Palace last time out, setting up Giroud for their opening goal.
