Alexandre Lacazette could return for Arsenal tonight against Sheffield United as the Gunners aim to recapture a place inside the top four.

Unai Emery could recall the French striker with a two-point gap to Leicester and Chelsea in third and fourth respectively.

Lacazette will face a late fitness test on his ankle, which has ruled him out since September.

While Reiss Nelson is also contending with his own ankle problem, is out until November.

The Blades will wait on the fitness of John Fleck, Oli McBurnie and David McGoldrick.

The trio had to drop out of international duty with injuries, while Emery has revealed positive talks behind the scenes at the Emirates.

“I am speaking every day with Raul, Edu and with the players,” Emery said.

“Our work is more important than our speak (words) and really now I am very happy at the club. I am really happy with the players. The last two, three, four weeks, every player – and Mesut Ozil – is working very well.

“This is why we can be positive and we can think we are going to do something important this year. I was speaking with Raul and this is the same idea when he is speaking with me.”
