Arsenal vs Tottenham: When is the north London derby as the Premier League fixtures are released?
Arsenal and Spurs will have to wait until November before they renew their rivalry
Arsenal fans will hope that a difficult start to the 2016/17 Premier League season will not be a sign of things to come after being handed an opening weekend fixture against Liverpool, with defending champions Leicester City up second.
However, while the exciting start will have Arsenal supporters eager for the new season to start, there is always one fixture that catches the eye immediately: when is the north London derby against Tottenham?
Fans will have a wait on their hands this season as the two clubs do not meet until the 5 November, when Tottenham travel to the Emirates to face Arsenal. The battle between the two sides went right down to the wire last season, with the Gunners just beating Spurs to second place on the final day of the season.
But both clubs will be determined to go one better this season and win the Premier League title, having seen Leicester secure the phenomenal achievement of going from bottom of the table to Premier League champions in little over a year.
The second north London derby takes place at White Hart Lane on 29 April, just three weeks before the end of the season in what could prove to be a pivotal tie in the course of the Premier League campaign.
Premier League 2016/17 opening weekend:
Arsenal vs Liverpool
Bournemouth vs Manchester United
Burnley vs Swansea
Chelsea vs West Ham
Crystal Palace vs West Brom
Everton vs Tottenham
Hull vs Leicester
Manchester City vs Sunderland
Middlesbrough vs Stoke
Southampton vs Watford
