In addition to his love of passing football, Arsene Wenger is renowned for his fitness levels.

There are fewer more sprightly 65-year-olds - particular when in close proximity to Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho.

As well as taking part in regular training sessions with his Arsenal team, the Frenchman's diet plays its part and an insight into what Wenger eats has been provided by David Baddiel.

The Chelsea supporting comedian appeared on BT Sport over the weekend during which he recounted a tale from the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, where he was producing a podcast along with sidekick Frank Skinner.

Baddiel tells how he sat close to the Arsenal manager at a restaurant, allowing him to spot what Wenger ordered for his dinner. He claims that Wenger requested two shiny apples, which he then studiously sliced before consuming.

Appropriately for an Arsenal manager, the apples were red.
