Blackburn owners give Kean vote of confidence

Blackburn Rovers' owners have insisted there is "absolutely no truth" in reports that the position of manager Steve Kean is under pressure.

Speculation increased following Saturday's 3-2 defeat at Fulham – the club's fifth loss in six matches – which left them just two points above the relegation zone.

"I do not know the source of these rumours," chairman Anuradha Desai said. "I'd like to clarify there is absolutely no truth in these reports. We have a contract with Steve and he will continue in his present position. There is no question of the manager being changed."
