Chelsea 1 Crystal Palace 2: Blues' Twitter account jumps the gun, seconds before Joel Ward goal seals Eagles' victory
Chelsea's account called for the Blues to seal a winner only to fall behind immediately

It wasn't just the Chelsea team that went into meltdown when Radamel Falcao scored his first goal for the club, only for Crystal Palace to immediately retake the lead and go on to win the match, as the Blues' official Twitter account responded in similarly comical ways.
Chelsea looked to have found an escape route thanks to Falcao’s first goal for the club since joining on a season-long loan in the summer. But Jose Mourinho’s side hadn’t counted on Joel Ward scoring a second for Palace to seal the three points.
The Blues’ Twitter account claimed that Chelsea had 10 more minutes to find a winner, and while they were right, they didn’t count on Palace making an immediate response. Soon enough, Ward struck, Palace were ahead and Mourinho suffered just his second defeat at Stamford Bridge in 100 Premier League matches.
The account was quick to praise the Colombia international for netting the equaliser, but clearly hadn’t counted on the Eagles finding another goal.
The defeat means that Chelsea are now eight points off Premier League leaders Manchester City, and leaves them with a lot of work to do so early in the season if they are to defend their title.
