Chelsea rode out an early Tottenham storm to deliver an emphatic 3-0 win at Stamford Bridge.

After Harry Kane had hit the bar and fired wide from a good chance in the opening exchanges of the match, the Blues, now unbeaten in 21 matches in all competitions this season, scored twice in three minutes to stun Spurs.

Eden Hazard quietened a vociferous away support when he beat Hugo Lloris after playing a lovely one-two with Didier Drogba, but it was Hugo Lloris who really ended the game as a contest.

The Spurs captain, usually so reliable, horribly sliced a clearance straight to Chelsea and one Oscar pass later and the Ivorian was in on goal, firing Chelsea into an unassailable lead.

Tottenham started the second half with renewed energy but they never threatened Thibaut Courtois goal, Chelsea were more than happy to concede possession without very conceding a chance.

When Loic Remy, on as a substitute for Drogba, beat Jan Vertonghen in a foot race to score the third Chelsea goal in the 73rd minute, the game was already well over.
