Eden Hazard wants to leave Chelsea as 'a boss' but rules out move to PSG this summer

The Belgium international has been consistently linked with an exit from Stamford Bridge

Eden Hazard has ruled out leaving Chelsea this summer, insisting that suitors Paris Saint Germain "are not part of my plans".

The 2014/15 player of the season endured a dreadful campaign in which he only managed to score four Premier League goals. His alarming dip in form stirred speculation that he was destined to leave Stamford Bridge.

PSG and Real Madrid are the two clubs that have been most persistently linked with the 25-year-old former Lille player.

However the the Belgium international says he does not want to leave Chelsea on such a sour note.

“PSG are not part of my plans,” Hazard told TeleFoot in the build-up to Euro 2016. “I have a contract until 2020, I feel good here and I don’t want to finish on a season like that. I left Lille [in 2012] as a boss and I’d like to leave Chelsea as a boss, if I do leave one day. But for the time being I’m here.”

Addressing his awful season, in which his first Premier League goals did not come until Chelsea's match against Bournemouth five games from the end of the season, Hazard explained: “Everything was complicated, it was difficult. Honestly, for five or six years I’d always been at my best and this was the first season where it was more difficult but everyone knows that in a career there are highs and lows.

“For the time being, touch wood, I’ve only experienced the highs – except for this season, when it wasn’t quite as good. But it was meant to happen this season. I hope it doesn’t happen again next season.”

Conte’s arrival could be the reprieve that the Colombian’s Chelsea career needs but the question is – does he actually want to move back to the Bridge? After a successful period on loan in Serie A, the league in which he made his name, he may be the one who needs convincing.
