Klopp explains Firmino and Salah omissions

"Mo is injured. Hopefully it's not serious and he can be available for Tuesday. It's the same with Robert. Bobby is out. He's played a lot of games for us and we have two fresh strikers there [Solanke and Ings] so it makes sense to make that change."

Everton boss Sam Allardyce this week outlined how his players must approach today's match to emerge with a positive result:

“We did a good job in the away match – and today is about how we defend against their attack, then us having to improve our possession rate and quality on the ball to cause Liverpool as many problems as possible.

"Having studied Crystal Palace’s game against Liverpool last week, Palace created some excellent chances but missed them, which you cannot afford to do in any Premier League game.

“We need to be very clinical at the top end and creative with our possession to get those opportunities."
