Liverpool lose grip in title race after goalless draw in Merseyside derby against Everton
Re-live the action from Goodison Park
Liverpool blinked first in the title race as they failed to regain top spot from Manchester City after being held to a goalless draw in the 233rd Merseyside derby at Goodison Park.
A rare off day for Mohamed Salah, who wasted the visitors' best two chances, coincided with an Everton performance of effort and energy.
And, while the Toffees' wait for a win in his fixture was stretched to 17 matches, Blues fans took great delight in putting a significant dent in their rivals' hopes of ending a 29-year wait for a title.
Jurgen Klopp's side now trail City by a point with nine matches remaining. Re-live the action below:

All of the best Liverpool chances have fallen to Salah so far, but it nwas Mane who might have done better here.
Firmino's first involvement since coming on is to play a ball to the backpost, but it is just a little high for Mane but he heads it back into an area with no teammates.
The threat is very real though on the break, as always.

More heroic defending from Everton stops yet another certain goal.
Van Dijk's header across goal is well placed for Fabinho, but his touch is heavy but would still have prodded home had Digne not scrambled back in time a few yards out.
Liverpool starting to really assert themselves.

There's also a change for the hosts, with Calvert-Lewin off for Tosun.

The crowd are really roaring the hosts on to try and grab a goal, and it has resulted in some cautions for Fabinho and Robertson in the last few minutes, but nothing concrete yet in terms of chances for either side.

He may not be the greatest Dutchman the Premier League has ever seen, but van Dijk has been exceptional this afternoon again.
The latest attack he stops sees him thwart Bernard after a lovely touch from the Brazilian to control Pickford's clearance.
Adam Lallana is also on for Liverpool replacing Mane.
