Harry Kane fires tongue-in-cheek warning at Leicester by claiming Spurs lions will hunt down Foxes
Kane can help Spurs take advantage of Leicester's slip-up against West Ham when they take on Stoke on Monday night
Harry Kane has fired a tongue-in-cheek warning that Tottenham are doing all they can to hunt down Premier League leaders Leicester in the race for the title by posting a back of lions on his Instagram account.
Spurs take on Stoke on Monday night knowing they can cut Leicester’s lead to five points after the Foxes required an injury-time penalty to draw 2-2 with West Ham on Sunday, with Jamie Vardy sent-off and se to miss at least one match for the Foxes.
With Tottenham second in the league and five points clear of Manchester City and Arsenal, a top-four finish looks guaranteed and has allowed Spurs to take aim at Leicester in the hope of the long-time leaders coming unstuck in the final weeks of the season.
Kane currently leads the Premier League goalscorer charts with 22 strikes this season – level with Leicester’s Vardy – and the 22-year-old will be pivotal for Spurs if they are to have any say on the destination of the Premier League trophy.
After seeing Leicester miss out on victory against West Ham, Kane couldn’t resist attempting to antagonise fans of the Foxes with a tongue-in-cheek post on his Instagram account.
Kane could be left red faced though if Spurs fail to beat Stoke at the Britannia on Monday night, where a defeat will give Leicester an eight-point buffer at the top with just four games left in the season.
