Jack Wilshere has brilliantly mocked Andre Marriner's case of mistaken identity.

The referee inexplicably sent off Kieran Gibbs instead of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the humiliating 6-0 thrashing by Chelsea during Arsene Wenger's 1,000th match in charge of the Gunners.

The decision caused a storm with calls for video-replays to be brought into the Premier League, while Marriner said the incident "knocked him for six".

Oxlade-Chamberlain has turned 21 today and Wilshere played his birthday wishes perfectly.

The midfielder, writing on Instagram posted: "Happy birthday to my boy @alexoxchamberlain", but as the photo (above) shows, he too suffered a case of mistaken identity...
