Jack Wilshere and Mathieu Flamini were involved a training ground bust up on Friday but the midfield duo have played down allegations that it was anything serious.

Wilshere posted a sarcastic picture on Twitter of the two coming to blows after they had an apparent spat during training ahead of their match with Sunderland on Saturday.

French defender Bacary Sagna had to step in to calm Wilshere down but everyone connected with the indecent insist there was no harm done.

Wilshere jokingly tweeted: “Flam was not happy when I walked on the bus tonight! Sorry mate I promise to never disagree with you again!! #Angry”

The argument comes just days after Arsenal’s damaging 2-0 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday. During that match Flamini and Mesut Ozil, who missed a penalty earlier in the match, were seen having a disagreement as Flamini accused the £42.5million German star of lacking in effort.

Arsenal need to put any team tensions aside as they attempt to bounce back against Sunderland today and get back to winning ways in the league once more.
