Jose Mourinho has hinted that he wants evergreen Chelsea captain John Terry to sign a new contract at the end of the season.
Terry, 33, has missed just two of Chelsea's 20 unbeaten matches so far this season, forming a formidable partnership with Gary Cahill.
Terry, who has captained the Blues more than 500 times, signed a one-year extension last summer and Mourinho hinted that he would like to do the same again.
"It's not the time to speak about it. He knows what I think and feel, the board also knows."
Chelsea will face Tottenham without striker Diego Costa on Wednesday, who picked up a one-match ban after being booked for the fifth time this season against Sunderland.
Loic Remy or Didier Drogba will start at Stamford Bridge.
"It (Costa's ban) doesn't affect us," added Mourinho. "We don't speak about Diego.
"We trust Remy and Drogba the same way we trust Diego. It's our way of work - forget Diego we trust the other two."
