Jose Mourinho to Manchester United: Manager 'wants assurances' before making Old Trafford move
The former Chelsea manager continues to be linked

Jose Mourinho wants assurances about the stability at Manchester United before committing to the club, it's reported.
The former Chelsea manager has been linked with replacing Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford as soon as he was sacked at Stamford Bridge after a dreadful start to the season.
Mourinho has said he will return to management this summer and has specified that his preference would be to do so in the Premier League. However, he has not stated which exact club it will be with.
The Telegraph report today that before joining Manchester United - should the club wish to appoint him - Mourinho wants assurances about the stability at the top of the club. The self-styled Special One wants to be sure the structure is already in place for him to succeed at Old Trafford. Basing a decision on the club's former glories will not be enough.
With other options available to Mourinho, it's claimed he will make a decision about his future this week.
Manchester United remain in the hunt for Champions League qualification, trailing fourth place Manchester City by four points with a game in hand. The club are also in the FA Cup final, where they will play Crystal Palace.
