Jurgen Klopp seemed to thoroughly enjoy his first day as Liverpool boss and, by the looks of it, he may have enjoyed his first night even more.

After a hectic Friday full of unveilings and media duties, the former Borussia Dortmund coach decided to let off some steam and explore the city centre.

He was spotted by some fans outside of 'The Old Blind School Pub' on Hardman Street, enjoying a pint of Stella at the end of what has presumably been a long week.

Classic... Klopp out for a few scoops on Hardman Street last night ⚽️

Although dressed incognito and sensibly not attempting to draw attention to himself while 'on the bevvies', he was more than happy to have his photograph taken with four fans, and the image was later shared online by local radio station Juice FM.

Klopp built a rapport with the supporters at both Mainz and Dortmund while managing in Germany and spoke of how excited he is to manage at Anfield, a stadium famed for its atmosphere.

"I always thought about working in England because of the kind of football and the intensity of the football, and Liverpool was first choice," he told the press conference yesterday.

"Now I have got the opportunity to work here, it’s the best thing I can imagine.

When asked directly about Anfield, Klopp said: "I am pretty excited. I want to see it, I want to feel it, I want to smell it – I want to do everything. When I came here with Dortmund a year ago, I was really excited."
