Jurgen Klopp will start his tenure as Liverpool manager alongside his assistant manager Zeljko Buvac, who has finally been granted a work permit.

It was thought that the man who Klopp has described as "his brain" would be absent from Saturday's Premier League meeting with Tottenham Hotspur while he waited to be granted permission to work in the United Kingdom.

However, according to a report by The Telegraph, Buvac touched down in Merseyside this morning and will line up alongside Klopp and fellow assistant manager Peter Krawietz this weekend.

Jurgen Klopp's best quotes

The 54-year-old Bosnian has been by Klopp's side since their days at Mainz, where the pair played together.

When Klopp went on to manage the club, Buvac became his assistant and then followed him to Borussia Dortmund in 2008.

Krawietz was also part of the backroom team at Mainz and Dortmund and has been taking training sessions alongside Klopp at Melwood this week.

Thus far, the new manager has not had the chance to meet his full squad, with players returning from international duty incrementally.

During his second training session on Tuesday, Klopp met Adam Lallana, Danny Ings and Nathaniel Clyne, who had recently returned from training with England.

Klopp has already impressed many with his start at Anfield, having conducted an engaging first press conference.

The 48-year-old German coach was also spotted getting down to work quickly by watching the club's youth team play last weekend.
