STAR MAN

Jordan Henderson - Led from the front on his first league start since August, scoring the opening goal and providing perpetual motion in midfield.

MOMENT OF THE MATCH

Jonas Olsson's disallowed goal had everyone scratching their heads as the officials obviously realised they had made a mistake after the event and contrived to get the right result by circuitous means but making a fudge of it all the same.

VIEW FROM THE BENCH

Jurgen Klopp's explosion of joy at Origi's equaliser was the release of 60 minutes of pent up frustration after watching his side labour to throw away an early lead. Bold substitution in sending on a striker for an injured defender paid off. Counterpart Tony Pulis spent the whole game shouting and cajoling his side and it almost paid off.

MOAN OF THE MATCH

Referee Craig Pawson and his two officials, as a whole, had a poor day with a bizarre passage leading up to the eventual disallowing of Jonas Olsson's offside goal and allowing Craig Gardner's reckless challenge which injured Lovren to go unpunished.
