Liverpool will try to go one better than last season and win the Premier League title this time around and to do so they have come up with a lengthy pre-season trip.

While they have already lost to Danish side Brondby 2-1 and beaten Preston by the same scoreline, the real tests start when they get going in the USA.

Like other big Premier League clubs, Liverpool are playing several games in the States and are even playing in some historic grounds, Fenway Park and Yankee Stadium for example.

The most intriguing game will be their clash with Manchester City in the Guinness International Champions Cup, pitting last season's first and second against each other.

Brendan Rodgers' men end their 10,338 mile round trip back home with a game against Borussia Dortmund at Anfield.

Liverpool kick off their Premier League season against Southampton on the opening weekend.

Check out their schedule below...

Thursday July 24: Roma, Fenway Park, Boston

Sunday July 27: Oympiacos, Solider Field, Chicago - Guinness International Champions Cup

Wednesday July 30: Manchester City, Yankee Stadium, New York - Guinness International Champions Cup

Saturday August 2: AC Milan, Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte - Guinness International Champions Cup

Sunday August 10: Borussia Dortmund, Anfield
