Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge reportedly wants to leave Anfield for a London club in the summer.

The 26-year-old is considering his future in Merseyside after growing frustrated with the way members of the Reds backroom staff view his long-term injury struggles. Today's reports will put Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham and Crystal Palace on alert.

Despite receiving reassurances from Jurgen Klopp, the Liverpool manager, that he has a future at the club, Sturridge is upset at the suggestion he is to blame for his fitness woes.

According to the Daily Mirror, the former Blues striker is now prepared to leave Liverpool to find an employer who gives him the appreciation he feels he deserves.

Reds legend Mark Lawrenson added an unhelpful voice to the debate this weekend when he said Sturridge can miss several matches at a time with a ‘twisted sock’.

The England man was an unused substitute for the 2-2 draw against Sunderland at Anfield on Saturday in Klopp’s absence, who was receiving treatment for appendicitis.

The German’s side are now 10 points adrift of fourth-placed Arsenal having played one more match than them in the Premier League with 13 remaining.
