Premier League preview: Liverpool v Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace were the last team to beat Liverpool at home in the Premier League, in April 2017, and they travel to Anfield this weekend.

League leaders Liverpool got back to winning ways with a disciplined 1-0 win at Brighton last week, and can stretch their lead at the top to seven ahead of Manchester City’s game at Huddersfield on Sunday.

After losing 2-1 at home to Watford last week, Roy Hodgson’s team lie in 14th place on 22 points, but just four points off the relegation zone. Follow the live action below.

What time does it start?

Liverpool vs Crystal Palace kicks off at 3:00pm (GMT) on Saturday 19th January.

Where can I watch it?

The match will not be shown live on TV or online in the UK.

Independent Sport will keep you up to date with all the goals as they fly in via our live blog.

Highlights will be shown at 10:20pm on BBC One.

Player to watch…

Mohamed Salah: The Egyptian was once again the match-winner last week at Brighton, winning and scoring the penalty which secured three important points. Currently joint top-scorer in the Premier League on 14 goals alongside Harry Kane and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Salah is at times being deployed as a central striker, a role he is thriving in as Liverpool look to stay clear of Manchester City.

Liverpool vs Crystal Palace

Roy Hodgson returns to Anfield this afternoon in the knowledge that his side were the last Premier League team to beat Liverpool here.

Can they shock the Premier League leaders again today? Joel Matip returns at the back, alongside James Milner on the right of Liverpool's defence.

Manchester United vs Brighton

Coming off the huge win at Spurs, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Manchester United can move above Arsenal should they better their result today.

Both the home side and visitors Brighton are unchanged for this one. Brighton have never won at Old Trafford...

Southampton vs Everton

Victorious with ten men at the King Power last weekend, Ralph Hasenhuttl's Southampton will look to build as they enter a crucial period with a number of games against those around them.

Everton are their opponents today. Marco Silva's team could end the day in seventh if results go their way...

Watford vs Burnley

It is two years since the unfortunate passing of Graham Taylor, and should Javi Gracia and Watford win this afternoon the Spaniard is planning a special tribute to the club's greatest manager.

Burnley are the opponents at Vicarage Road.

James Milner starts at right-back for Liverpool today, with Trent Alexander-Arnold sidelined.

It has been a good day for Alexander-Arnold, however, with the  20-year-old has today putting pen-to-paper on along-term deal at Anfield to commit his future to his boyhood club.

News from Old Trafford, and it will be a late enforced change for Manchester United with Luke Shaw taken ill. Diogo Dalot replaces him in the starting lineup, with Ashley Young presumably switching to left-back.

Five minutes until kick-off around the grounds.

Just before everything gets underway, there is time to praise Crystal Palace for this act of kindness:

Watford 0-0 Burnley, 2 minutes

First chance for Watford, with Tom Heaton doing superbly to deny to deny Gerard Deulofeu after the Spaniard combined with Troy Deeney.
