Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reacts after Manchester United's defeat by Man City

Manchester United slumped to a deeply disappointing defeat to rivals Manchester City as their run of poor form continued on Wednesday night.

Goals from Bernardo Silva and Leroy Sane were enough for the champions to ease to all three points in the race for the title and condemn United to a second damaging loss in the space of four days in the process.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side's hopes of the top four are dwindling with the reverse at Old Trafford a fifth in the last six games in all competitions and an eighth in the last 10.

What started as an impressive revival under the Norwegian has turned spectacularly leaving the new boss with decisions to make over the futures of many members of his first-team squad.

A number of players are likely to depart in what is promising to be a turbulent summer.
