GOAL
MANCHESTER CITY 1 - 1 SOUTHAMPTON
Now that is what I call redemption.
Stones has done it. Just minutes after making the mistake to give away the goal, he got on the end of a De Bruyne free kick at the back post and slots the ball past a helpless Forster.
What a response from Pep's men.
37 MINS
Romeu goes for goal from distance, but his attempt floats high over the crossbar. No real threat posed.
The Saints need to step it up a gear, as despite being a goal behind, the home side appear in full control. Sane continues to cause the defence problems with his speed and quick feet.
An attempt from Gundogan is put wide, as their attempts continue to pose no threat for the English keeper.
45 MINS
There will be a minimum of 2 additional minutes at the end of this half.
HALF TIME
There is no immediate easing of City's problems. They gave away a cheap goal and to add insult to injury - their goal at the other end was disallowed for offside.
It was a slow half for both sides, but The Saints done their job and held off the City side with few problems. There will be two very different team talks taking place in the dressing rooms today.
It's a deserved lead, but have City got it in them to redeem their defensive disaster from the first half?
We are just moments away from the kick off.
Don't go anywhere...
SUBSTITUTION
Iheanacho has replaced De Bruyne at half time. This could be due to the Belgian picking up a knock in the first half, or could be part of Peps masterplan to find three points.
48 MINS
City appear to have started the half well, with a newfound energy flowing throughout the side.
Iheanacho is involved instantly and is linking up well with Silva.
50 MINS
YELLOW CARD
Kolarov picks up a card for running into Austin and knocking him over. The Serbian doesn't look too happy about it though...
53 MINS
Sterling delivers an incredibly inviting ball into the danger area, but its just a fraction too quick to find a City shirt on the other end.
They're certainly starting to look more dangerous than the side we saw in the first half.
55 MINS
GOAL
It's the substitute that has come up with the goods. A clever half time decision from Pep has worked perfectly.
Sane does very well to control a high ball, he then turns inside the box and delivers the ball to Iheanacho who buries it past Forster. The Nigerian youngster done well to get on the end of it and has equalised for his side.
It's all to play for. Momentum will be highly in the home sides favour now, so it's time to see if The Saints have it in them to battle back.
