Ole Gunnar Solskjaer praises Man Utd's spirit after Southampton win

Manchester United fans are divided after some supporters added an extra line to the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer song.

The Red Devils have been rejuvenated under the Norwegian, who replaced Jose Mourinho in December at Old Trafford.

The United faithful have adapted the song to the tune of Waterfall by the Stone Roses to show their affection for Solskjaer.

It begins, “Ole’s at the wheel,” before references to Alexis Sanchez, Paul Pogba, Fred and Marcus Rashford.

Some fans have followed the Solskjaer line with, “you scouse bastard,” angering others, who believe it has spoiled the chant.

One fan said: “Why ruin a good chant with ‘you scouse bastard’ in between chorus? Added in just for this game I hope."

While another called for it to be stopped: “This “you scouse bastard” along with “1,2,3,4” between ole is at the wheel need binning off rapid."

Another added: "Wtf is with the 'you scouse bastard' part of oles at the wheel? Completely cringeworthy and irrelevant."
