Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal can look forward to an almost completely injury-free squad for the first time this season.

Van Gaal has used more players than any other Premier League managers this season, with 37 different players - some now departed - making appearances for the Dutchman in all competitions this season. Chelsea, in comparison, have used just 21.

Despite his players tallying up a massive 55 injuries between them, Ashley Young's hamstring, an injury that will keep him out between four and six weeks, means he is the only player to be missing for the game against Southampton on Sunday,

New goalkeeper Victor Valdes is expected to be in the United squad while Rafael (cheekbone), Luke Shaw (ankle), Marcos Rojo (thigh), Daley Blind (knee), Marouane Fellaini (illness) and Antonio Valencia (groin) have overcome their respective problems.

Southampton also have a relatively clean bill of health with Nathaniel Clyne and Jack Cork expected to return for the game.

Sadio Mane remains out, while Jay Rodriguez is still waiting to come back from the knee injury that has kept him out since 5 April.
