Louis van Gaal is set to be boosted by the fitness of Wayne Rooney and Luke Shaw for the visit of Arsenal on Sunday.
In United's last match, the 2-1 win against Crystal Palace last Saturday, Shaw suffered a bloody nose in the first half at Selhurst Park and was replaced by Jonny Evans, while Rooney was replaced by Radamel Falcao at half-time after sustaining a dead leg.
Manager Van Gaal said after that win: "Shaw took an elbow and had a bloody nose, but he went to the hospital and I have already heard that he shall fly home with us so I don’t think it is very bad. Out of precaution, we took him off. Rooney had a dead leg so next week he is healthy and fit to play.”

Van Gaal will provide updates on Chris Smalling (muscular injury), Angel Di Maria (knock) and Robin van Persie (illness) in his press briefing this afternoon.
Michael Carrick is definitely out, he will miss the rest of the season with a calf injury, while Marcos Rojo will not play again in this campaign too because of a groin injury.
