Manchester United racked up their second 4-0 demolition in as many weeks as they followed the opening weekend victory over West Ham withh a thumping win over Swansea at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday to go clear at the top of the Premier League table.

Jose Mourinho’s side remained without injured trio Luke Shaw, Ashley Young and Marcos Rojo, and he stuck with the same starting XI that beat the Hammers in a show of faith.

As for Swansea, Fernando Llorente is back in training after fracturing his arm in a cycling accident last month but was not available to face United.

Eric Bailly put United ahead just before the break, but Swansea were proving hard to break down and Marcus Rashford was guilty of wasting a good chance to score. What followed in the second half though was a four-minute blitz as Romelu Lukaku, Anthony Martial and Paul Pogba all scored to seal the victory.

It’s a big game for?

Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian hit the ground running last weekend, scoring two goals on his Premier League debut to help fire United to a 4-0 victory against West Ham at Old Trafford. Questions have been raised over Lukaku, and whether or not he has the calibre to lead a side of United’s stature, but the forward has another opportunity on Saturday to further prove his worth and vanquish any lingering doubt.

Jon Moss brings the match to a close and for the second week in a row United have won by four goals to nil.

For the first time in five years, Manchester United really do look like the team to beat this season.
