Former Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin faces his former club after being named in Manchester United’s starting line-up for the Premier League clash at Old Trafford this afternoon.

United manager Louis van Gaal has set his sights on winning the title again after seeing off Liverpool 1-0 last weekend, and he makes just one enforced change to his starting line-up after seeing Ashley Young ruled out for “a very long time” this week.

With Young set to undergo groin surgery and regular left-back Luke Shaw out until April with a broken leg, Van Gaal is forced to call on young defender Cameron Borthwick-Jackson to fill the vacant left-back role.

Southampton meanwhile will hope to build on their consecutive wins over Watford and West Brom, and manager Ronald Koeman also makes just one change with Dusan Tadic coming back into the side at the expense of Steven Davis, who misses out with injury.

New striker Charlie Austin, who completed a £4m move from Queens Park Rangers last Saturday, is named on the substitutes’ bench and could be handed his debut, while fellow forward Graziano Pelle misses out with a knee injury.
