Michael Laudrup is preparing for transfer talks with Swansea striker Danny Graham

Michael Laudrup expects Danny Graham to ask to leave Swansea City next month. Last season's top scorer has been a marginal figure during this one. He scored the opening goal in Saturday's 2-1 win at Fulham but that was only his second Premier League goal of the season.

The transfer window opens tomorrow and the Swansea manager denied that he would be surprised if Graham asked for a transfer.

"Of course not," Laudrup said. "He wants to play. Everybody wants to play

Laudrup will be open to conversations with any players who want to leave the Liberty Stadium in pursuit of regular football. "It's important to know when we go into a window, especially with players who are not playing, it's a moment for everyone to think about what do they want, to go in the same direction as a team.

"Some are playing, some are not, some are playing once in a while. Now we are in a new transfer window so again, if they are not happy in their situation, now we find out.

"Of course, I can say to a player, 'I hope you stay here', but I want to hear what each of these players really want, what they feel about it."

The form of Michu, who has already scored more in the league this season than Graham did last year, has limited his opportunities, but Laudrup denied there had been any falling-out with Graham, despite reports of a disagreement between him and the player.

"He's been working, he started the season and then we played Michu up front and there was no space for Danny but he's always been working to try and get into the team and that's how it should be until the last day and then we can see how we think and we feel and what we are going to do."

The Fulham manager, Martin Jol, admitted he has still not found his best midfield. Fulham are struggling for rhythm, with just one win in their last 12 league games.

"In May we had Danny Murphy, Mousa Dembélé and Clint Dempsey in midfield," he said. "After that we had Mahamadou Diarra, Steve Sidwell and Bryan Ruiz. Last week I played with Kieran Richardson, Giorgios Karagounis and Chris Baird. We have had a lot of changes. If all the players are back I can play my best midfield. If Diarra is back in there it will be a very strong midfield again."
