Hull City and Newcastle United face a massive final day of the season.

The two sides are staring at relegation and will be hoping the other fails to get a result so they can stay in the top flight rather than join Burnley and Queens Park Rangers in the Championship next season.

So, what needs to happen on the final day of the season for each side to go down?

The Premier League table before kick-off (THE INDEPENDENT)

HULL CITY vs Manchester United (h)

If lose: Relegated.

If draw: Relegated.

If win: Will still be relegated if Newcastle win. Survive if Newcastle lose (more points) or draw (better goal difference).

NEWCASTLE UNITED

Remaining game: vs West Ham United (h)

If lose: Relegated if Hull win (fewer points). Survive if Hull lose or draw.

If draw: Relegated if Hull win (worse goal difference). Survive if Hull lose or draw (more points).

If win: Survive.
