Pep Guardiola latest: Bayern Munich manager 'sorry' for fuelling Man Utd, Man City and Chelsea speculation

Pep Guardiola has apologised for fuelling speculation that he will replace a current Premier League manager over the summer, probably at Manchester United, Manchester City or Chelsea.

The Bayen Munich coach recently revealed that he had chosen to leave his current post this summer to come to England.

The Spaniard even revealed he had received "several offers" from the Premier League.

Those statements have led to fevered talk over which club the former Barcelona coach will join, a situation for which Guardiola has now said he is sorry.

"I'm sorry. It was not my intention to offend anybody. Normally in my career like a trainer, a football player I respect a lot my colleagues," he told reporters at Bayern's winter training camp in Doha.

Guardiola however refused to be drawn on who his next employers would be, saying he would reveal the name of the club only after he had signed a contract.

"I don't know. Of course I'm focused on Bayern Munich, but this doesn't change the fact that I will be training a team next season," he said.

"No changes, absolutely. I'm working here. I cannot answer... (until) I sign my new contract. Maybe this happens during the season, maybe later, I can't tell now. Whenever it happens."

Manchester City are the favourites to secure the services of the two-time Champions League winner.
