With just over 24 hours of the January transfer window the, perhaps unwelcome, distraction of Premier League football takes centre stage – albeit briefly.

Arsenal are in action away to Swansea City as they are on the verge of signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang with Olivier Giroud moving to Chelsea.

Liverpool are away to Huddersfield Town and West Ham United face Crystal Palace in the other two games.

Swansea vs Arsenal

When these two sides met earlier in the season Arsenal came from behind to win 2-1 at the Emirates. Sead Kolasinac and Aaron Ramsey's second half goals gave the Gunners the three points, after Sam Clucas opened the scoring.

West Ham vs Crystal Palace

It's probably safe to assume that neither West Ham or Crystal Palace want to be where they are in the table at this stage in the Premier League. The Hammers are in 11th and Palace 13th and just three points above the relegation zone.

Wilfried Zaha's 97th minute equaliser completed a comeback to make the scoreline 2-2 when the sides met in October. Javier Hernandez and Andre Ayew scored in the first half but a second half resurgence, started by Luka Milivojevic's penalty and completed by Zaha's goal rescued a point.

What the managers say...

Carlos Carvalhal: “The fans made a fantastic contribution against Liverpool to help us achieve the victory. We expect very good support at this game because the support they gave us against Liverpool was crucial. If it is the same sort of atmosphere I think we will feed off it. Let’s hope we can achieve something.”

Arsene Wenger: "We know what is at stake for us. In the Premier League, we cannot waste points if we want to come back into the top four. We have to prepare for every single game with the utmost concentration and focus to win the game. We have to prepare for a battle and I’m confident that we will be ready for it."

What the managers say...

David Wagner: "First and foremost, we must be focused on ourselves. We had a similar period in November and we turned it around because we were focused on ourselves and this is what we have to do now. This is a great opportunity in front of our home crowd and this is exactly what we would like to do."

Jurgen Klopp: "The last game, we watched the goals back in this room, and when we spoke about defending we didn’t speak about the centre-halves or the last line in these situations. They are always involved because they should be around when somebody scores a goal, but I showed the boys where we should have defended, where we could have reacted much better."
