Premier League round-up: Man City inflict first league defeat on Liverpool

Liverpool stretched their lead at the top of the Premier League table to seven points over Manchester City after a nervy 1-0 victory at Brighton and Hove Albion, with Mohamed Salah scoring from the penalty spot to get Jurgen Klopp’s side back to winning ways.

Watford fought back from behind after a Craig Cathcart own-goal handed the home side the lead, only for the defender to atone for his error with an equaliser and Troy Deeney to score the winner. Burnley managed to pull off a rare 2-1 victory without having a shot on goal as two own goals from Joe Bryan and Denis Odoi handed them victory, with Andre Schurrle initially putting Fulham ahead.

Leicester suffered a disappointing defeat against resurgent Southampton as goals from James Ward-Prowse and Shane Long saw off the Foxes, whose reply came through Wilfried Ndidi. Cardiff and Huddersfield played out a 0-0 draw, while in the early game West Ham upset Arsenal with a 1-0 victory. Re-live the action below.

Burnley 0 - 1 Fulham - Schurrle

It's a wonder goal! The goal comes over the top into the path of Schurrle and he hits it first time with a dipping volley. The ball hits the underside of the bar and goes into the corner of the goal, Fulham 1 up after two minutes
