Will Manchester City cast their FA Cup woes aside? Will West Ham beat Liverpool at Anfield for the first time since 1963? Will QPR finally win an away game? The Independent's Simon Rice and James Orr offer their predictions for this weekend's matches.

All eyes are on Saturday’s late afternoon kick-off between Chelsea and Manchester City at Stamford Bridge. The Blues are five points clear at the top of the table and have shaken off the shock of losing to Bradford City in the FA Cup by booking themselves a place in the Carling Cup final during the week.

Manchester City have suffered two losses on the bounce, at home to Arsenal and Middlesbrough and are in desperate need of a return to form to retain the Premier League title.

Here are Rice and Orr's predictions for this weekend:

Liverpool v West Ham
