Harry Kane scored twice to take his season tally in all competitions to 26 goals and ensure Tottenham remain in the hunt for a top-four finish thanks to a 2-1 victory over Queens Park Rangers.

The game started with chances for both sides, but i was Kane that broke the deadlock as he rose earliest to head in Andros Townsend's cross before the break.

QPR rallied after half-time, but a lapse in concentration among their back-four allowed Ryan Mason to slip a pass into the path of Kane, who calmly rounded stranded goalkeeper Robert Green and slotted the ball into the net to give Spurs some breathing space.

But it was one of their former players in Brazilian midfielder Sandro is got Rangers on the scoresheet, and a nervy final few minutes saw the home side push for an equaliser.

It never came though, and Spurs left Loftus Road with another victory under their belt to move to within one position and three points of fourth-placed Manchester United, while QPR remain in the bottom three.
