Welcome along to our live coverage of Southampton vs Brighton, a south-coast battle at St Mary's. Here are tonight's teams:
An intriguing one, this. Neither side has really hit the ground running thus far and each sits with four points from their opening four games. Southampton picked up their first win of the season last time out at Crystal Palace and it appears that Mark Hughes has settled on a 4-4-2, with a revitalised Danny Ings firing well in conjunction with Shane Long up front.
Brighton will have made the 60-or-so mile journey confident that they can trouble their hosts, however. Influential playmaker Pascal Groß misses out with an ankle injury but Glenn Murray has scored thrice already this year and will be keen to continue his good form.
Half an hour until kick-off.
Summer signing Yves Bissouma comes in to the Brighton side in the absence of Groß. The 22-year old midfielder was born in the Ivory Coast but has played 16 times for Mali.
Ryan Bertrand had a rather more quiet international break than he would have hoped for. The left-back missed out on England's World Cup squad and appears to have been usurped in the pecking order by Luke Shaw. He captains Southampton tonight with Steven Davis on the bench.
It is a derby of sorts, but one suspects the animosity seen when Southampton face Portsmouth or Brighton Crystal Palace will be absent tonight.
The teams make their way onto the pitch. There will be some serious physicality on show, and Glenn Murray's battle with hulking Southampton centre-half Jannik Vestergaard will be worth watching. Two metres tall, the 'great' Dane is hard to miss.
Anthony Taylor blows his whistle, Dale Stephens knocks the ball back to his centre-backs and the game is underway.
2 minutes
A calm start to the game with neither side able to string a series of passes together. Brighton have a free-kick just inside Southampton's half after Anthony Knockaert is felled.
5 minutes
Pascal Groß is a huge miss - Brighton haven't taken a point from the games he has missed since the beginning of last season.
6 minutes
The game is still very much finding its way. The pitch looks well-watered and players are keen to slide about, with Anthony Knockaert timing his challenge well and Gaeten Bong less so.
